I see that the app notes indicate the new update can import cards from a csv in to your binder.
I can't for the life of me figure out how. Any thoughts? Am I just missing a button somewhere?
It's supposed to work from Mail.
Ahhhh. I don't have Mail set up. ;) I'll get it configured and see how that goes then!
Hello there...I'm looking to import a .csv file as well and assumed it could be done through iTunes.
Did you figure out how to get the import feature to work?
Any help would be well appreciated.
Thanks...
It's supposed to work from Mail or any other app on your iPhone which can receive files. Dropbox is one. It does't look in iTunes.
So can I just use default iPhone email and add the attachment? If so, I still don't see how it imports into iMtG.
Please forgive the ignorance
;-)
Thanks..,
I think when you open an attachment on email, or a file on a file manager, it usually gives you the option to open the file with another app. I guess it should be there
Yes, if it's not it's a bug and should be reported properly*, please.
* Support & Feedback -> Report a problem, leave everything as it is as I don't care whether you are paying customer or not (that's why it pisses me off when people try to play the money card while reporting something which is not a bug), add as detailed description of your issue as possible send and wait 24h. Thank you.
Thanks for all the feedback. I sent the csv file via email. As previously stated, I received the "open file in iMtG" option when I tapped it within the email. iMtG then opened, but nothing had changed.
Not sure I should report it as a bug, because there's every possibility that I'm doing something wrong.
If somebody else can share their experience, it would be well appreciated. Though the binder feature is really cool and easy to add to (great job, P), I already have the info in an xlsx and csv file.
Thanks for the continued help...
Your csv file probably has the columns named incorrectly. We are using deckbox as the starting point so the column names in the first row should be:
Name, Count, Edition, Foil, Condition, Language
in any order. Only Name and Count are mandatory. Edition is the full name of expansion. Foil is either empty or contains "foil", Condition takes numbers from 0 to 4, Language is 2 letter country code.
Feel free to email me your cdv files which doesn't work, stating from which source they originate.
Thanks, P...I'll give that a shot.
A most generous offer of you fixing my csv, bui I couldn't, in good conscious, do that to ya!
;-)
Thx for the help and I'll let u know if things pan out.
If you sort out the column names and it still doesn't work please mail me the file, I need to fix bugs.
