Title: Gideon's 0 ability
Post by: Drbusta50 on January 01, 2012, 09:04:21 PM
So let me see if I got this straight, {Gideon Jura}'s 0 ability turns him into a 6/6 soldier and prevent all damage to him.  So does this mean that if I choose this I can attack with him and he can't  be killed.  Right?

He can be killed, but not by regular damage. Destroy effects à  là  {Doom Blade} can take him out. Un preventable damage can kill him. Otherwise, yeah, he's pretty much invincible.

Note: if you activate his 0, you still can't attack with him unless you've controlled him since the beginning of your turn.

What if somehow Gideon received -1/1 counters?  Would they reduce loyalty counters?

So if I activate this ability during my first main phase then I can use him during my combat phase right?

I do not think you could use him the first round he comes in play but yes to the second round and so on.

No they are separate. They woul stay on him unless he got +1/+1 counters.

Yes, as long as he didn't just come in to play this turn.

All permanents have summoning sickness, but it only affects them if they're creatures.

Loyalty abilities can be used right away, but if the walker turn into a critter, critter rules apply.
