I know Golgari plays into that, but that is A LOT to spend for 1 card. You'd actually be better off splashing {U} to get the same 1 card cheaper.

Some old school torny decks ran 4x {howling mine} and 4x {black vise}. Discarding your hand can actually help against those decks. I have a friend that actually still runs one of those decks. Not fun.
{Howling Mine}, {Ebony Owl Netsuke}, {Eye of Nowhere} to bounce a land.

Plus kindercatch is only a 6 cost where vizzerdrix is a 7 cost

A slightly overpriced vanilla 6/6 can still end games.
I have a couple of Sorrow's Path, and have never plate them in a deck or seen them played in someone else's deck.
