{Phylactery Lich}
It's amazing to me. Great art, a 5/5 indestructible for 3 swamps and all you need to do is keep a few artifacts out. Or even just one.
Really liking this card.
Have any cards like this that seem to be under the radar, yet pretty cool in some way?
Always a good convo to expand knowledge of the cards out there, I've found.
I've actually had a very tough time with that card and {Darksteel Relic} :-\
Fragile to arti-hate. Problem with Relic is its a dead-card by itself.

Oh, i know the relic is nearly useless, but you put the lichs counter on it and he causes troubles.

But great combo for using the Lich
What I do like about this guy is if you get two of them out and each one puts a counter on two different arties, they have to destroy both artifacts to kill the Liches.
What would be neat about the Relic is opponent will be scratching their head or thinking ur an idiot until you thrown down the Lich and it's an indestructible rampage. Less -x/-x and sacrifice cards of course. Think I might need to make a 3rd zombie deck lol
{darksteel axe} would be fun with this.
Im going to bump my gf's tezzeret deck in standard. I added an element of fliker to it cause you only need one phylactery counter on board to keep any number of liches and putting multiple counters across the board kept them from dying the easy way.
Ooh Darksteel axe is a good idea. {Darksteel Pendant} or {Darksteel Ingot} could be fun too w this
I didn't realize this guy was a zombie until now. May have to throw a few copies and some artifacts in my zombie deck.
I got this in a booster a few days ago and it went straight into my zombies deck :)
{Dismember}. Just saying, once that rotates the loch might be more popular.

{darksteel plate} {darksteel myr}
this card is good t ocombo with {worldslayer} :D if you wanna be a not-nice-person. ;p
I saw a {B}{W} lich deck with indestructible artifacts, creatures, and lots of {Day of Judgement} effects.
You could use {Darksteel Citadel}? I think that's pretty cool.
Another great thing is his indestructiblity as a black zombie mitigates cards like {Call to the Grave} and a few other sacrifice cards. Certainly not all by any means, but enough to make it even more difficult to be removed.

Indestrucability doesn't prevent a card from being sacrificed.

I think he was say have both out. They keep sacrificing guys while you have an indestructible guy that is hard to get rid of. Make both a little better.

If u read my point was that because he is a black zombie it mitigates cards like that specifically ;)

Yup :) and since he's a zombie he wouldn't be sacrificed so it's a pretty decent combination

Cheers! 🍻 thanks
He is pretty sweet, he would've been better when Scars block was around though, unless RTR has some cool artifacts, because we're losing Swords and everything.
Hate how on 10/5 it's like we basically lose all these hundreds of dollars we spent as far as standard is concerned. Wish they'd stop doing that or stretch it further

You mean Extended. That's a thing. Take up Modern.

I've been trying man! Shock Lands are expensive though lol.
Imagine that. ;)
The shock lands are being reprinted in RtR though. =)
So thy are gonna go down.

Probably, but not necessarily. Sometimes reprints make players want the original prints because they're Standard legal again.
The shock lands could go down in value, but I don't think by much. Maybe at the most $5. Only cause it was the original print.
Turn one {Vault of Whispers}, {Dark Ritual}, {Phylactory Lich} go.

Niiice
I just remade a zombie deck using a playset of {Phylacter Lich}, { Darksteel Axe}, a playset of {Vault of Whispers} into my Geth Deck using { Geth, Lord of the Vault} and a few { Trepanation Blades} . Will let you guys know how it goes tomorrow night.
The shock lands will go down in value. They're already around $10-$20. More people that open packs, the more the value will go down. Same with the core tap lands, the further we got from M12 the higher they got, till M13.
If anything, get your Innistrad enemy tap lands, we're only getting further from them. Like the Scars enemy lands, price goes ^ and then they near rotation and plummet.
