Title: Equipments
Post by: Younghawk on August 31, 2012, 08:12:27 AM
If a equipment become a creature does the creature retain all of its abilities?

No, like if you used {Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas} to make a {Bladed Pinions} into a creature, it would not have flying and first strike. This is because the equipment card itself does not have the ability; it just gives the ability to a creature if you equip the creature with it.

However some equipment, like {Darksteel Plate}, actually has abilities. (darksteel plate would be indestructable even if you made it a creature).

All true. Just a note, because I'm not sure of your question, but if equipment becomes a creature, it'll 'fall off' the creature that was equipping it.

Can you then equip it to its self?

You sure could try, but it'll just fall off again.  Animated equipment and auras 'fall off' the next time the state is checked.

Then what about living weapons?

They aren't actually "living". They're just attached to a 0/0.
