Post by: Xanzurth on August 29, 2012, 12:01:25 PM
How awesome is it that my nine yr old daughter whom I am teaching to play Magic is trying to teach Magic to her six yr old brother?

That is awesome. Much to my wife's chagrin, our kids are going to be Magic players and Star Wars nerds.

I feel ya man. The evil looks my wife gives me each time my kids ask to play MtG or to go to the local card shop. I just turn to her and give her my best evil grin!

Doesn't always happen that way. My friends son was into star wars and D&D like his dad until recently when he started going to high school two years ago. Now it's more sports and girls.

They can do both. I did was a jock nerd in high school. Even did a little drama and debate.

When I was a senior nobody played Mtg..then we all started hanging out with this one guy who played and by the end of the year basically all the guys in the senior class just played Mtg at lunch everyday.

This. I used to play it really publicly in middle school but second semester i got beat up every day cuz of it. As a sophomore in hight school ive kept it a secret and people seem to have forgotten middle school so i dont get beat up anymore (it also probly doesnt hurt that ive buffed up and gained 20 pounds all of which was muscle:P)

Wow. That sucks. I don't even get why anyone would care, much less feel the need to do something like that.
