I met Jon Finkel yesterday and got some stuff signed and played a match with him. I came extremely close to beating him. Anyone else have a similar account with a pro player? I played him sixth round yesterday at GP Boston.
that's a cool story Dan no I can't say I ever have met a famous mtg player.
I had a feature match with Sharfman at GP Salt Lake. I didnt know who he was until after. Cool guy. Later that day i beat a former pro who apparently used to stomp everyone but now is just ok. Not a cool guy. He was my round 6 of 7 in the Standard open that same weekend. It was funny beating BU control with BW tokens when everyone said id lose that match. I had recently shifted from control myself so i new what tricks not to fall for.

No, it wasn't a feture match. PrOs aren't only in feature matches. And sorry, he eas just using a D20.
