What is everyone's favorite set from magic? Mine is either ravnica or shards of alara.

Tempest and even my favorite block was the Tempest/Urza block. I liked playing with {counterspell} and {mana leak} at the same time. That's what tempest brought and then Urza brought insane cards like {tinker}
Zendikar block. Loved eldrazi
Shards block.It was when I came into magic. It had so much more variety at fnm and it had some much great cards.

This. But I didn't have the patience for blue so I loved my shadow decks. Also {rancor} and the insane {Replenish} decks I used to see with {Opalescence}

I am the sole reason my LGS had to raise prices on packs of shards and reborn a few months ago - I bought out their supply.

For legacy- Urza. Love {Show and Tell} and my {Goblin Lackey}
In general- Zenikar, Shards, or Ravnica

Seriously though I have been playing Magic for a few years but didn't start buying my own cards until Innistard block so my favorite set is Innistard.
Have to say my fave is Avacyn Restored just cause I'm a newb haha

This, all day. Tempest has my favorite weird artwork, upped the power level for MtG and {Wasteland} at uncommon, made for some lively games.
I started with Onslaught. That'll always be my favorite.

It was a great time to be playing.
I remember how awesome fallen empire was when it first came out. Thrulls, thalaids(not sure on spelling) goblin warrens and grenade. Great times.
The original core sets. Love the old art work on those cards. Nothing better than beta {dark ritual}

Or how they keep having to rewrite {Animate Dead}
New Phyrexia is probably my most favorite set.
