Well I love magic but when I figured don't go to the game because it's only the first one then all of sudden everyone there! Bit no one tells me everyone going to be there then all of sudden I am stuck in some shop . Alone.
Just do whatever you feel like doing...high school is only 4 years of your life. It might seem like it shapes who you are, and all this stuff. I basically hang out with 1 person from high school (who I met in middle school). All my friends are from college. My girlfriend I met after high school, my job was after high school. My MtG playgroup is assembled of people from all different towns.
If you wanna play FNM then do it, wanna go to the game? Do that. Just don't let any of it get to you. High school doesn't last forever (well, for some immature people it does)
Any way!! I did go 3-1 at fnm using my myr deck!
When it came to home games I skipped most of them once I got into magic. But I when to the 3rd to last one my senior year just to hang out with a bunch of friends and I went to the last 2 as well. I never watch a single minute of the games, I just hung out. I would ask some friends if the are going to the game when the next one comes up and if just a few say they are then I wounds go. You don't have to give up magic. Just skip it a day.

Make all your decks tournament illegal. Then you never have to worry about going to FNM! Honestly, that is kinda what I do. My LGS holds nothing but standard tournaments, and all my decks are pretty casual, so I'm never at FNM :P
