Just found out the exalted land {cathedral of war} does work in an infect deck, here's one or the combos:
Turn 1. {cathedral of war}
Turn 2. {forest} {ichorclaw myr}
Turn 3. {forest} {rancor} {titanic growth}
{mutagenic growth}
Win

Ugh, I hate infect. Why not use {Glistener Elf}?
Yeah
T1- forest, {glistener elf}
T2- forest, {titanic growth} {mutagenic growth}{mutagenic growth}{mutagenic growth} win
Yeah yeah yeah that sounds nice and all but THE combo only requires 1 (one) {mutagenic growth}
Can we say gosh and though? And this is more sure fire because of {rancor} giving trample
And {ichorclaw myr} gets +2+2 if blocked so it's just all around vicious.
You could use glistener elf in:
T1
{Forest}
{glistener elf}
T2
{Cathedral of war}
{rancor}
Attack for 4 infect
T3
{Forest}
Any card pumping for 2 or more power(not hard)
Exalted also protects the creatures from cards like {gut shot} and {tragic slip}

Exalted uses the stack. So before exalted resolves they can gutshot or tragic slip your creature. sorry to burst ya bubble! 😞
But you could, in response to tragic slip or gut shot, buff your creature, keeping it alive and allowing the exalted to resolve.
Yeah that's what I was gonna get to next lol "oh yeah well in response {mutagenic growth}, that's game"
After the first game out of 2 or 3 it really starts getting cerebral, whose got the gut shot, whose got the growth? Whose got the {vapor snag}, whose got the {autumn's veil}? That's what I'm liking from the exalted, in a way it forces their hand
Lol, I like people who play this kind of combo on me, that way I get to use {delerium} or {backlash}
Now fun question being, will the owner of the creature get the poison counters?
Yeah key words are "that creature". I wonder how good infect would do in legacy...
Another combo:
Turn 1. {forest} {glistener elf}
Turn 2. {cathedral of war} {ranger's guile}
Turn 3. {blessing's of nature} {forest}
{unnatural predation}
Ugh this is one of the reasons I hate infect :( a giant **** you to slow decks sometimes. {ink moth} espcially, no matter how many times I drew it I would trade it away since I found it just...... Boring :(
This isn't a combo?

This isn't a combo?
More of a synergy but from my understanding this forum is for either or so it is all good.
In a deck designed for speed mana and search, with four each {birds of paradise} {llanowar elves} and {lotus petal}, searching with {worldly tutor} and {sterling grove} as well as other search sources, you can get a poison combo like this out quickly

In standard you just let the combo come to you. If its not in your first hand, mulligan, then mulligan some more until you get it. If you still don't get it hope for a miracle
Personally, I don't rely on a single kill or combo factor, but work in several, each designed to mesh with the others to make them stronger, but not reliant on them
Well that's a very bland way to look at it but let me be more clear on the x factor that is mulliganing; all you need in an infect deck is at least one creature, 2 land including at least a forest, and 2-3 instant buffs to win and a protection spell like {ranger's guile} or {apostle's blessing} to top it off but it's not mandatory unless playing against Blue or Black. So the bare minimum amount of cards needed is around 5 cards to win turn 3, turn 4. You start out with 7 so if you don't have the combo or a part of it, you have two more opportunities to shuffle your deck and try again. Unless of course you go second then you have 3 more opportunities to go and get it. There's a lot more to poison decks than just 10 poison counters and a quick win
I think he was saying to make this deck in standard not thats how all standard is played.
The entire deck is made up of the combos above wether you like mulliganing or not if the combo is not in your hand and it's not playable then it's not playable and therefore mulligan is the move to make. I'm only saying that it's a perk to play the deck because even if you mulligan it's ok because you can still win quickly and viciously with a minimum of 5 cards.
Yup he misread that statement plus I was goofing off myself
Hmmm I'm not sure what resentment means but I think it applies here
That was a joke man it's all good
{invigorate} is the best infect based buff spell 100% free to cast as long as you have a forest
T1: {forest} and {glistener elf}
T2: {invigorate} and {berserk} game
Nice after October all the infect players are gonna be hitting the legacy scene if they're not already
