Title: D-Blade
Post by: Thorn on August 20, 2012, 06:54:50 AM
I have been thinking and it seems to me that {Doomblade} is actually a very good card in the legacy fromat. I mean the popular decks do not usually have {B} creatures, do they?

Merfolk
{R}{U}{G} Delver
Elves
Goblins

None have {B}. Which makes me think that {Doomblade} is actually a bery good card for Legacy.

Other people's oppinions please?

It's a 2 mana removal which is kind of expensive in legacy.

{snuff out} or {ghastly demise} is the {B} removal of choice in Legacy

Ok. Thanks. I'm still wondering though. Are there any popular legacy decks with {B} creatures?

Delver BUG uses {tombstalker}. You will also see {blisterblossum} decks and {dark confidant}

{Griselbrand} is popular lately. As far as straight removal, it's not really in Legacy so much anymore (in my meta).
Every deck I play against is just built around getting power on the board and racing. Answering threats with removal is in some ways inferior to counterspells or putting another threat on the field.
