I found this site referenced on MTG Salvation forums. They sell bulk common lots of Zendikar, 500 cards for $5.95 and 1000 of all sets for $8.95. The shipping for each or both is the same, $8.95.
I wrote the owner of the site and he seemed nice, replied fast, said that there are no lands guaranteed and no more than a playset of each card.
Has anyone heard of them before? It's www.dacardworld.com
Also, is that an ok price, especially with shipping added, for commons, even that many? I was thinking it would be a great way to shore up my collection and decks, but unsure if that's too much money for commons.
What do you all think?
I find it hard to believe you will not get more then a playset of any one card. I find it worth wile to buy some of the old commons for under $10 because a few are useful but if you really look at the block it would be cheaper to just buy the playset of the ones you might actually use.
Is it 1000 cards from all sets or a specific set? Because most big sets have ~220 c and u. So they can't offer 1000 with no more than 4 of.
If it's any and all C&U then it could be that they've already picked out the value cards ({Manamorphose}, {Inquisition of Kozliek}, {Everflowing Chalice})
Really, you're paying $0.18 a card for non-Zen randomness. It's a gamble, but I like gambling. 😂
If they know what they're doing, you'll probably not get much value. If they don't sift through, you might get lucky.
If you've got $20 burning a hole in your pocket, and you don't have many cards from previous sets it could be an idea. I wouldn't because I'd end up with more of what I've got.

I agree with Jester, the thing about bulk random cards, you're not going to get good value. Other than quantity I guess. Whoever is selling bulk cards, has most certainly looked through everyone and picked out the goodies.
On the other hand, what's 20 bucks for a bunch of cards? Just don't expect the really good ish

I'm sure they are picked over. It's 1,000 from all sets revised to now it says and the 500 are all Zendikar. I am kinda low on cards but 20 of every junk card wouldn't help me so idk.

I bought a lot of 4,000 random cards from a bunch of sets, guarentees like 500 rares. It was all junk. I got practically no lands either.
Yea I did the the same when I got back into playing just before NPH. Got 8,000 commons. Talked to the person selling they were very nice did no more then 4 of the same from the same set. Omg how many different sets share the same commons. Probably a hundred of them have a chance to see an actual deck. Felt like a waste but was fun looking over all these cards.

Yeah, it was cool just looking through everything. Hoping to find a cool treasure. It was just all jank {W} rares, no foils and well...bulk commons.
Lol mine was all commons It was told up front. So I wasn't mad. I did buy on ebay a box of repacks from all sets and got some fun stuff nothing of value but cards I could use.
Yeah I would at the least contact the owner again and ask him if the card r truly random or are the cards sifted threw and u r only getting crap cards that r not worth much. I also got a bulk lot once of 5000 cards and I payed 50 dollars and the cards are worth maybe 10 dollars, it was horrible. If u do deside to do it then just don't expect much.

I can almost guarantee that they are sifted through. They always are. No store/person in they're right mind would just grab a huge stack of cards, rares, mythics, money cards, and sell em for bulk discount prices.
If I had a store, I'd throw in the odd good card, just to interest people. Pretty much what WotC does anyway. 😏

Ah but that's just good business practice. Like dealers giving the first hit or two of crack for free. Magic is an addiction. WOTC know it, secondary market knows it. So sure, get rid of 1000 bulk junk common/uncommon cards, throw in a couple 2-6 dollar rares maybe a mythic or two, number don't lie, people will be back to buy more
Well it does say commons only so can guarantee sifted through. I said forget it, ordered 6 packs of Zendikar off of Amazon instead, lol.
