Title: Bonfire of the damned
Post by: An Angry Fatman on August 18, 2012, 02:39:35 AM
So I was playing a proxy game tonight and came to a standoff that neither of us could answer. He was playing a delver deck and had out an {invisible stalker} equipped with a pike. The next turn I played {bonfire of the damned} dealing it lethal damage, but the card does not target the stalker. So is the lethal damage delt, or is it prevented by the hexproof?

You will still deal the damage to any hexproof creatures. Bonfire targets the player not the creatures specifically thus hexproof doesn't save.

Dealt damage. It doesn't stop effects that don't target it. A small {Earthquake} can kill it.

Whoot. I beat Jester to the answer! Of course only because he was answering another one first but I'll take it.
:)
