Title: Multiplayer
Post by: cltrn81 on August 16, 2012, 08:55:05 PM
Can we create an area for Multiplayer decks?  They dont really belong in casual or any other area and will only get overlooked.  Giving them their own area will spur discussion for these types of decks.

I think this is a good idea. Easier to give advise when more of the decks purpose is known.

Piotr / BlackJester,

What do you guys think?  It will be a good place for 2HG, FFA, Planechase, and any other type of multiplayer.  BJ pointed out how unorganized and saturated the Casual section has become ..... maybe this will help free up some clutter.

I think this is a great idea I have a few decks I'd love to post for like planechase or 2HG that I'd like to get some feedback on but there's no place for the to be properly with out being Easily over looked

It would involve a lot of work unless I add Multiplayer as Format, which would be a bit dodgy.

Even just adding a new "decks" area in the forum to post under? Sorry I don't know programming and I'm not presuming to know what goes into it. But why would it need to be a new format?

Because this is how iMtG decides where to put posted deck.

What's dodgy about that?  Just set the card legalities to casual, (maybe) and add Multiplayer as a deck format option.  While not technically right, it'll get the job done, won't it?

Wow, I sound very cavalier here. Sorry. I'm sure it's not that easy to do.

Actually, it is. He just ain't sure if this is going to make things confusing. But the coding and technical requirements aren't that much. Specially when he already has the service to auto post decks ready

Yeah, I meant the code side. Piotr's TODO is already huge.

How about if it was still in casual but in the same way you choose the option to filter cards according to deck type you choose the option to say multiplayer yes/no. If so it gets posted in a different place? (just throwing ideas around)
