Pariah would be better, but also looking at if someone bounces the doll,
I prefer the shield because it's reusable, colorless, and an artifact, so you could ramp fast in Urza-tron, fetch either pieces with {Fabricate}, run {Grand Architect} yadda yadda. {Pariah} would be good in addition.
