Title: Thank you random stranger
Post by: cltrn81 on August 13, 2012, 12:46:47 PM
So I left this morning to drive 360 miles, about 225 klicks for you Canadians, to survey a project.  I get 85% there and need to re-fuel only to realize I forgot my wallet at home.  Long story short I asked this random stranger to borrow $20.  I got his information and have every intention to mail him a check with enough interest to make a loan shark envious.

Just another thank you to this person and his altruistic assistance to another stranger in need.

Jkjk I get that story every day kinda funny that the same person gets stuck at that same gas station everyday.

Click= 1000 meters? That would come out to less than a mile.

I think you meant 225 miles and 360 clicks๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Is this Craigslist now? :p

You can usually tell someone really in need vs. the grifter.  I've gave a few people money in need at a gas station once, and never gave out my address to mail back tho, for the obvious reason of random person knowing my address lol.

How in the hell did $20 get you enough fuel to get back?  Gas prices are ridonculous!  You must drive a Prius. Haha

VW Jetta TDI

It's a diesel and it gets 40+ mpg ;)

And I only needed enough to get me to Tennessee where I was surveying the job.  My grandma lives an hour from the job site and I am staying there tonight.  I had to borrow gas money and money to take her and my uncle out to eat lol.
