I had this idea before. It actually quite fun to play but doesnt hold up that well in tourneys. I think this one will hold up a bit better than mine though. Take out the evolving wilds and just put in actual mountains.

It's your call man, but I had three in my main deck and they always showed up in my opening hand and slowed my .poo. down

Alright.

When you're mono-color I don't think the small benefit of {evolving wilds} thinning your library makes up for the loss of tempo your land coming in to play tapped gives.

This. I've tried to argue for evolving wilds thining mono decks before. Until I finally sat down and recorded games with then without them, crunched some number with regards to turns and how fast things happen. It's totally not worth it just because it comes in tapped. Switch for mountains for sure

The thought I think comes from Fetch Lands {scalding tarn}, {polluted delta} who bring lands in untapped. Those are true deck thinners at the cost of 1 life. One thing though, you can't {stifle} a mountain!!

And they were a little viable or landfall too.
