Title: Binder ideas
Post by: reezel on August 13, 2012, 09:10:46 AM
I am loving the binders and have been using them like crazy since implemented. A few suggestions I have that I would love to see.

Collapsing/Split: I'd love to be able to switch the view of them so that I could see them either as collapsed or split without having to modify every item.

Insert Break: I would love to be able to set in the settings for the binder to put breaks in the binder pages. For my cases, I would love to hit the end of a page on both expansion and rarity ends.

I think I'm with you on 'Insert Break', but could you elaborate on 'Collapsing/Split', please.

Sure, here's my example. I want 3 Dragonskull Summits. When I am just getting an idea of what cards I am looking for, I really just want to see 1 Dragonskull Summit in my binder (Collapsed). However, when trading and showing what I am looking for, I would like to be able to expand my binder and see 3 DragonSkull Summits in the binder. I know I can currently do this on a card by card basis, but I am looking for a binder wide toggle.

For example, irl in my binder i put all copies of, {Elvish Archdruid} in the same slot.  It doesn't matter to me which set they're from, but it would be nice to click on it and show all the different copies I have.  They all have the same name, so for deck building and such they are basically the same card.  But a trader might want a specific set.

I like it but i want to see a small non distracting number that indicates the total number present when collapsed.

I also use binders as reminders of what I'm sharing between decks (looks nice opening imtg when putting together a deck that's missing some shared cards) and therefore the little number on the card would perfect my sharing system ( reminds me how many cards are missing of each kind) although I also like the split retract feature suggested that way it can be used for some binders aka precious or decks
