My friend pulled this on me yesterday while i played with my life regen deck, and had around 50 life. {malignus} + {curse of bloodletting} on me .. Expensive, But effective.. Will try to make something similar in casual. Any suggestions? :)

The moment Malignus hits him, his P/T are halved and Fling will only hit for his new lowered power.
Fling will work with the curse. Or with {Reveberate}
{Fling} and {Increasing Vengeance} would get the job done.
How exactly does malignus's ability work? What if he gets chump blocked?

Then he gets blocked. I'm not sure what you are asking.
His damage can't be prevented, so he can kill a {Fog Bank}, a Pro-{R} creature, {Safe Passage} and {Fog} won't stop his damage.
Ok I thought the point of playing malignus was to get a direct shot at the opponent so you could play something to double his attack and hit for lethal. Also when you target a player a planes walker or player isn't the damage supposed to go through since the damage can't be prevented (it doesn't say; unless malignus gets blocked)

You WANT to get a direct shot at the opponent and double it, but being unblockable is not the same thing as unpreventable damage.
You're thinking something like {Thorn Elemental}'s ability.
{Berserk}
{Artful Dodge} + {Rush of Blood}.
{artfull dodge} I think is leaps and bounds better
