Title: NPH mana in commander?

Can you use NPH mana in commander if your commander isn't of the color?

Why is everytime I see NPH I think Neil Patrick Harris. Like the OP want Neil Patrick Harris colors for his EDH deck.

Lol, dammit now that's all I'll be able to see.

But yes, Phyrexian mana is still mama of its color, and follows the same color restrictions as its normal, non-gooey counterpart. {Moltensteel Dragon} can only be in a deck with red, {Phyrexian Metamorph} only in blue, {hex parasite} only in black, and so on.

I thought hex could be played in any other deck since black mana is not in it's casting cost. You just couldn't activate it's abilities.
