Title: WTH?
Post by: Imdowd80 on August 11, 2012, 02:35:34 PM
{temporal mastery} is down to eight dollars at my LGS. Really?!  Eight dollars. Why I no one playing this? Who doesn't love extra turns.
I snagged up a few, and plan on getting more when I cash my check.

It is a better card then people think.
It is worse then people think.

Take your pick.

I like it and have 4. My team won a 2HG last night because it. Getting it in your opening hand sucks.

I like it a lot. If it goes down to below $5 then I'm grabbing some.

I had someone at fnm play it twice in one game. I still won. I am not saying mastery should make you win but it's not like the guy I was playing sucked, and it's not like I'm a master. Just saying that in my opinion (unless you get it very late in the game), it is just a better version of {Rampant Growth}.

It is a rampant growth which makes you drop one more creature and have one extra attack turn and creatures can be tapped. AND the land comes untapped. Not an too powerful card, but worth it's cmc

It's really game-state dependant. If you have no hand and no board pressence, your opponent has better creatures than you, having an extra turn is pretty much "draw a card".

Many times it can end games, but not by itself.

On cockatrice I have seen it used very effectively in ramp decks, especially when casted early along with {Strangleroot Geist}.
