With 4 {Gideon's lawkeeper}s you lost to your illusions? Maybe you could get some {timely reinforcements} and mainboard some more {mirran crusader}s {hero of bladehold} is just so good I would encourage more as well. I guess I should probably also ask what happened when you were playing against it. Meaning what problems did you run into?

Hexproof...
Was I cheated?

Nah.  If Illusions can slap down an early {Lord of the Unreal}, {Gideon's Lawkeeper}s are pretty useless.

Take out {Elite Inquisitor} and put him in your sideboard. Take out {Elite Vanguard} and replace him with {Selfless Cathar}. Add one more {Mirran Crusader}.

Ew {selfless cathar}. Idk I'm not a fan, and especially not if you're taking out what he has, I'm thinking more removal of creatures or artifacts

I like {Selfless Cathar} if you can swarm, and land a fatal Alpha strike. Depends on your game plan, I suppose.

He could put in more {honor of the pure} though and that would benefit better than a one time alpha strike bonus

I agree with Validan...
If you don't like the Cathar then you could always use {Champion of the Parish}.

That's true.  I'm not championing Cathar here, but it is a creature, and it triggers {Champion of the Parish} and can pick up some equipment and charge in to the fray.  I can see swapping it for Honor, though, if you already have a good creature base.  I just think the if this is going to be a full WW, it really wants a low curve critter base.

I agree with you on the low curve creature costs. And I know this spell isn't exactly low but {divine reckoning} and {day of judgment} may be good cards to side board in case of decks like the illusions or {invisible stalker}s that's just a though that came to me as an alternative to creatures

I agree about the sweeps, although I would favor {Day of Judgment} in this case.  You don't want your opponent to hang on to their {Grave Titan} and all you get is your {Fiend Hunter} or something.

Right!  But, if you are holding on to a sweeper, you can plan accordingly.  Force trades, push small damage through, hold off casting creatures, etc.  It's always nice to have your finger on a reset button.

What about adding one {Elspeth Tirel}?

Very true and I think {day of judgment} isnt expensive for a playset

It's really a staple card that most players should have.

Elspeth would be sick also {Gideon Jura}

I would say no planeswalkers. They are all high cost and not really needed.

I would put {Elite Inquistor} in the sideboard and put a fourth {Champion of the Parish}.

I was thinking about {Day of Judgment} and got worried it will destroy my creatures too. What do you think, should I use {Remember the Fallen} or {Phyrexian Rebirth}?

I wouldn't use either the rebirth costs a lot and the {remember the fallen} you may not need to worry about if you are running multiple copies of creatures

You're right about the rebirth, but I'm not sure what you mean by multiple copies.

If I use a card that destroyes all creatures, i'll be short handed too...

Well, you wouldn't cast it if you were ahead, only if your enemy had better board position.

Also, you could hold back a creature or two to follow up.

Yea you just keep whining about not getting any cards to play....meanwhile you hold on to your {day of judgement} until they cast a Titan or something.

I think what I was trying to say was that with so many multiples of cards I'm not sure what he could take out for it, also with so many copie of some creatures bringing some back may not be as useful if he will draw a new one and could replace that card with something more worthwhile like a {day of judgment}

A lot of these comments are straying away from what makes Hold The Line. How everything is a 3 drop or less. I didn't put Hero of Bladehold into my deck for that very reason. Keep Elite Inquisitor and take out Bladehold. He's a lot better for 2 and is always awesome with first strike and vigilance anyway.

Just keep as true to the meta game as possible. If it doesn't give you card advantage (fiend hunter/oblivion ring), is an awesome weenie (doomed traveler, Gideon's law keeper, etc), or buff your weenies (equipment, honor of the pure).

Hold The Line is amazing out of the box for a reason.
