Title: Postmortem lunge
Post by: Thattallguy on December 20, 2011, 08:36:51 PM
If I play {postmortem lunge} or {gruesome encore} and before my end step I end the turn with {sundial of the infinite} will I keep those creatures or will they be exiled once my opponent starts his end step?

I believe it would still exile at the beginning of opponent's end step, hence '... the next end step' on both cards.

But at least you'll have a blocker for another turn too.😃

You would either keep them, or lose them during your opponents end step. It depends on when you activate the Sundial.

If you want to keep your creature (which I'm sure you do), wait until your end step. At the beginning of your end step, the "Exile that creature" trigger will be put on the stack. If you end the turn then, that trigger will be exiled and you keep your guy.

The key here is that it's a one-time delayed trigger set-up by the sorcery. If that trigger gets triggered, then removed, it wont happen again. But it has to happen once, so if you skip your end step, the trigger will still be lurking in the background, waiting for an end step.

I'm not sure what you meant this.
