Here's a straight-up question for you:
In what situations should one run a playset of a given plainswalker, and why?
I have been trying to figure this out. 3 usually seems like the magic number to me but still not sure. Any imput from people with more experience?
When the PW is called {Jace, the Mind Sculptor}. I think it's pretty self-explanitory.
Depends on the PW
4 of is only when it's cheap and their abilities are really useful short term, like the middle abilities of {Ajani, Caller of the Pride} and {Lilliana of the Veil}.

I was about to make a similar comment about -minus- abilities that are really good and of course cheap to cast.

And beleran. To kill of your opponents mindsculpors.
Questions to ask yourself when deciding how many to run.
How easily can i cast this ({nicol bolas, planeswalker} vs. {garruk relentless})?
Am i going to keep it on board and have dead ones in my hand, or do i want to cycle these out one after another ({gideon jura} vs. {liliana of the veil})?
Are these effects that i will always want or are they fairly situational ({karn liberated} vs. {tezzeret, agent of bolas})?

ComPletly agree each pw total is dependent upon the deck it is to be played in.
