After creating meld, I think it is safe to say that magic has "Jumped the Shark."  I had been looking for the proper phrase to describe the slow decline in magic with these spoilers and mechanics and ridiculous power creep... and I had just learned this phrase and I hope you all get familiar with it. {https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumping_the_shark}

What? You never watched happy days?  I mean who can pull off a leather coat while on skis in water being pulled by a boat.

I don't like the idea of taking 2 creatures and smushing them into one and invite the doomblade...

Brisela doesn't die to doomblade

Not doomblade since it isn't standard but any kill spell moving at sorcery speed...
that costs 4 or more. i think thats what he means

{Silence the believers} is likely your best bet. That or a walker like Ob Nix

Walkers are non creature spells so he would be out to, and who uses silence the believers?

This would be messed up

What are we talking about lol Ob can kill Brisela

 {Triskaidekaphobia} got some nice fuel with {tree of perdition}. A 0/13 defender that taps to switch its toughness with life total of target opponent.

It is also quite a tool in Commander. Got this 0/40 wall, come at me.

It's your life total, not your opponent's (which sucks)

It has potential. But I have not seen much in the way of good zombies, for standard. And cards like that are only as good as the cards they  Synergize with.
