Round 1- He was a young kid playing slivers I took it 2-0 not much to say here, I coached him and helped him understand the game a bit better. 2-0
Round 2- first game I won with hive mind combo t4, second he burned me when I refused to mull down to get leyline, 3rd game I mulled to leyline and won. 2-1
Round 3- RG tron, pretty simple matchup for me game 1 hive mind combo, game 2 didn't mull and couldn't pull a land that wasn't a bounce land so I lost, game 3 t2 Titan that's that pretty much. 2-1
Round 4- drew in.
Top 8 Round 1- He was running mono blue mill, beat him easily first game, lost second for refusing to mull to leyline of sanctity, game 3 dropped leyline and he scooped
Round 2- burn again same guy, 2-0
Round 3- RG tron same guy g1 hive mind combo, g2 he had too many wurmcoils out he won quick, G3 prime time t2 then hive mind t3 with summoner pact.
I won 1st it was only an 11 man tourney but was fun.
Lol you guys do top 8 for 11 man tournaments?
Yup lol which is good for me because I enjoy the extra games anyways. I only draw out when the other player wants to.

I feel so bad for the other 3 people xD
Honestly it stinks sometimes because they're usually the 10year olds that are just playing for fun who don't make it

You should see if the TO is up for 'random' prizes when they're distributed and just give one of them a pack or something.
Mini tournament report, only 3 rounds this week with like, 6 guys. I was on BW tokens.
Round one: played against U tron. The guy didn't have a clue what he was doing. At one point he discarded 2 expedition maps to thirst for knowledge. Easy win.
round two: Mardu tokens: this deck is like my deck except with young pyromancer and monastery mentor. I personally prefer my deck in the matchup because of intangible virtue, this card just made all of his attacks so awkward both games I had an easy 2-0.
Round three: amulet bloom. Really good pilot, this guy usually is on storm and sometimes twin. Wrecked me on turn 3 with the double amulet double Titan draw.. Yikes... Game 2 I deemed the play to be deathmark his Azusa. He untaps and drops Titan. 0-2.
Went 2-1 in the tournament, not bad. Nothing good from prize packs though.
Game one was against affinity which is a scary matchup for me. The guy was a very good pilot of the deck and took me out t5 both games 0-2
Round 2 was against Amulet Bloom He t3 titaned and I forced it to die with pox then ended his board state with boom. Game two his Azusa got bolted and I t-seized his Titan. 2-0
Round three was boggles. Smallpox wrecks these guys. Really easy win 2-0
Round three was mill. Got a t2 Tasigur then a t4 Tasigur after he pathed the first one. He got wrecked. Game 2 I killed 3 crabs with a young peezy on board. Then I blew up all our lands. With him unable to do anything I beat him down with tokens
Just went 2-2 in a modern tourney, not my best work but I'll give a run down anyways. I was playing BW tokens.
Round 1: UW Control
This guy seems as though he played standard in RTR THS or RTR INN and was playing UW control from that era except with colonnades. The thing to note here is that his deck ran multiple Jace architect of thoughts, detention spheres, and supreme verdicts. These cards are pretty solid against tokens as it turns out.
Game 1:
I stumbled a bit early but got some damage in and had him down to 6 or so and he end steps a rev for 6. He untaps with a wrath and an aetherling with 2 mana open. I didn't have 3 removal spells in my hand so I just scooped to the aetherling.
Game 2:
I went intangible virtue into spectral procession and he just didn't have a verdict. Gg dude, Gg
Game 3: he had a pretty solid opener with a few lands and some detention spheres, a rev and verdict. I did manage to draw an intangible virtue but when i dropped my spirits he was ready with a detention sphere. And anther for the next batch. And another. That was mildly annoying, but hey what can you do. He ended up revving for 8 on my end step and I just conceded to that.
1-2 0-1
Round 2: BW tokens.
I've only played the mirror once before, so I didn't have a whole lot of practice on my side.
Game 1: he thoughtseizes me and starts cracking up, tells me this game is about to be dumb. I Thoughtseize him and see why. If you've never played the tokens mirror, it is either really one sided or board stalls all day long. This game was over pretty quick because he drew 3 anthems and no token generators.
Game 2: this one took a solid twenty minutes. We both had like 8 tokens with anthems out so we wouldn't get blown out by zealous persecution. He had bitterblossom, which is entirely absent in my 75 because I don't like it that much, also I can't afford them lol. He ended up grinning me out, granted he was at like 3 life, so my plan was to stall until bitterblossom killed him, I did manage to draw timely reinforcements but he drew intangible virtue and hit me exactly dead.
Game 3: he was pretty low on lands and I ended up getting blown out my zealous persecution but lingering souls off the top saved my ass and I stalled until bitterblossom killed him. Gg
2-1 1-1
Round 3: jund
Game 1: he kept a hand of 2 bolts, olivia, and lands. I killed olivia and he realized bolt is one of the worst cards in his deck pretty quickly. I had a virtue and he just didn't have the abrupt decay. For it and I just kept killing his stuff and doing damage in increments of 4-6 until he was dead.
Game 2: I had virtue into procession and I kinda checked out.. Woops. Turns out jund can come back from that, especially if the tokens pilot is being retarded. He landed tasigur and tarmo and managed to beat me down with those two and a raging ravine
Game 3: I went virtue into procession into sorin and actually focused on the game state this time and jund just couldn't beat that. Gg
2-1 2-1
Round 4: Grixis delver.
Warning: this match was retarded.
Game 1 he went delver blind flip attack for 3, delver, serum visions so it flips next turn and wreck you really fast. Gg I guess?
Game 2 he mulliganed to 5 and I wrecked him.
Game 3 he went delver, pyro, angler and I was overwhelmed by elementals and a zombie fish.
1-2 2-2.
Overall not bad, my first time at the shop and everyone was really nice. I'll be going back there when I can and hopefully I'll have a better record. I'll post these the day after I go whenever I do.
Yet another report, I'm not sure if anyone reads these things, but I like writing them lol. Also, I went 2-2 again.. Starting to get frustrated will be attending a few events next week and I intend on breaking out of my slump. I'm playing tokens again
Match 1: Affinity
Game 1: I'm on the play and thoughtseize him. He kept a hand of lands (none were inkmoth) ornithopter vault skirge springleaf drum. I took the skirge and passed. I did that intangible virtue into spectral procession thing and just attacked. Really simple game.
Game 2: I mulligan to 5 and get WRECKED by etched champion with a plating on him
Game 3: Another mulligan, but only to 6. I have turn one thoughtseize and turn 2 stony silence. His hand was triple darksteel citadel for lands. It was pretty funny. We both top decked for a while but I eventually drew lingering souls. Played and flashbacked right into a whipflare. Not a big deal as my draw step was another souls. I raced his etched champion with an honor of the pure, and towards the end, sorin.
2-1 1-0
Match 2: Grixis delver
Game 1: He kept a hand of lands, terminate, tasigur, thought scour, mana leak. Luckily in my opener I had a celestial purge for tas so I grabbed his mana leak. I drew some more removal and he drew some more threats, I ended up winning this by two for one-ing and three for one-ing a bunch by putting some pressure on with my spirit tokens. Ended up getting there.
Game 2: He had electrolyze and staticaster in his opener, but I had disruption for both of them. His tasigur got killed, and so did his delver. Just played tokens and attacked. Landed a sorin and was able to sit comfortably at around 30 life while killing him.
2-0 2-0
Match 3: CoCo Elves
Game 1: I put some pressure on early but he had main deck essence warden, which was really annoying. I was representing lethal and he does this: End step, CoCo, get eternal witness and Ezuri, CoCo again, get double elvish archdruid, you're dead. That was frustrating
Game 2: I've never known fear until today, he had 3 nettle sentinels and a heritage druid. He ended up killing pretty quickly with a chord for ezuri and a bunch of activations to kill me
0-2 2-1
Match 3: Grishoalbrand
Game 1: I kept a hand with double sculler, and was pretty sure I could just disrupt him enough and clock him with my grizzly bears. I made a tragic misplay, he scryed to the top with temple of malice, I should have taken worldspine wurm with my thoughtseize to force him to shuffle. He dropped a Wurm off TTB and I was at 1. The 3 wurms came on his end step and I didn't have 3 removal spells.
Game 2: I was dead on turn 2. I mulled to 6 to find some kind of disruption but didn't want to go to 5 to look for it. I had a path and figure I would be fine. Nope.
Final thoughts:
Overall, I'm not super upset at any misplays, but am pretty bummed that I didn't do so well. I think I'll be adding ghostly prison to my sideboard, and maybe some kind of generic green hate to start dealing with company decks. I might replace the relic in my sideboard with a leyline of the void. That's probably all I want to change.
24 man because of the Path promo. 5 rounds plus top 8, top 4 get the promo. Im playing Zoo. Round 1: Abzan standard deck because standard didn't make. Game 1: 6/6 Knights get there. Game 2: I keep a greedy one lander, don't draw a second land. Game 3: 5/5 Knight plus 4 exalted triggers plus Kessig.
Round 2: Grixis Control/Tempo (Twin? Never saw it, but he did run Pestermites) Game 1: Loxodon and a bunch of exalted triggers. Game 2: He kept a bad hand, and a T4 CoCo into Magus of the Moon had him scoop.
Round 3: Junk Good Stuff Game 1: I mull to 5 - 4 lands and a Loxodon Smiter. He T1 Inquisitions me. I giggle because T0 Loxodon is good. Game 2: He just draws better cards than me. Game 3: Late game he had Linvala and 2 Souls tokens, swings, drops me to 5. He flashes back Souls, casts a second souls so he has 4 tokens and 8 life. End of turn I CoCo, put 2 5/5 Knights out, swing with both Knights, a Qasali, and a Noble with a Kessig for 5 waiting to bless someone.
Rounds 4 and 5 I ID into top 8 for a record of 3-0-2 for Swiss.
Top 8: Living End Game 1: He keeps a hand with Living End and through the next 5 turns draws the other two in his deck. Scoops at 4 life with me having a good board. Game 2: Nut hand for him. I don't have a chance. Game 3: Back and forth with me drawing sideboard cards and him playing around them. Eventually he has to cascade when I'm threatening lethal on the board and he gets almost nothing back from the grave. I do an end of turn CoCo and get 2 Knights. He has to cascade again, forgetting that it brings back my previous board. Loxodon Smiter swinging for 8 gets there.
Top 4: Infect. Game 1: I bolt his Heirarch turn 1. He plays an Inkmoth. I play a land and pass. He animates Inkmoth. I Lightning Helix Inkmoth.
He Mutagenic Growths 3 times, then Become Immense. Swings 13 infect. I cry a little. Game 2: I have the removal when I need it, end the game with 7 infect (from one swing) and get there with a Noble Heirarch getting 2 exalted triggers. Game 3: Blighted Agent is really good against creature heavy decks. I lose, but I get him down to 8 first.
Lots of fun, but jeebbus it was a long and stressful night. Got my promo so I'm happy. Also, first time playing Zoo competitively almost a year ago.
got another tournament report: Finally went something other than 2-2, went 3-1. I'm playing BW tokens.
Round 1: Mono-black devotion
Game 1:
I kept a slow hand and got mega-punished. Turn 1 Gravecrawler, Turn 2 bloodghast, turn 3 another bloodghast, turn 4 phyrexian obliterator, turn 5 gary. I don't think I would've won anyways but I got it in my head that murderous cut doesn't need delve for some reason.. Couldn't cut the obliterator in response to Gary, WOOPS!
Game 2: He kept a super slow hand (It was 7 cards), the only spell he cast was thoughtseize. I just cast some spells and attacked until he was dead.
Game 3: We both mulliganed and He had a pretty fast start with gravecrawler into bloodghast into bloodghast, but I slowed him down with ghostly prison and eventually got there through anthems and tokens.
2-1 1-0
Round 2: Grixis twin
Game 1: We both kept 7 and both had some good starts, he had serum visions, I was casting intangible virtue, etc. We traded resources for a bit, I kept a hand with no token-makers, just some reactive stuff and an intangible virtue, he was on the deceiver beat down plan for a while and had me down to 7 eventually. I top decked a hero of bladehold and played it and passed. To my surprise, it stuck around. He hit me with both deceivers and I said no blocks, down to 5. I was able to untap and hit him for 7. I cast a spectral procession to make sure he couldn't poke me and bolt me, and he showed me the bolt when he conceded the game.
Game 2: Completely my fault that I lost this game. He had 2 deceivers on board as well as a batterskull. I knew he had twin and cryptic command in hand but I tapped out because I only counted 6 mana. He had a god damn dreadship reef. Completely my fault again.
Game 3: I resolved a ghostly prison on 3 and a virtue on two. I was feeling pretty good about my chances but I got grinded out by an anger killing my spectral procession spirits, a batterskull and a tasigur. Dang
1-2 1-1
Round 3: Grixis twin:
Game one: I thoughtseize him and see he kept 2 UR lands, 2 kolaghan's command, bolt, terminate, something I don't remember. He didn't live to see the third land, I ended up getting the game through approx. one million spirit tokens.
Game two: This one was CLOSE! I was pretty nervous the whole way through, I landed a ghostly prison on 3 which I thought would help tie up his creeping tar pit but he ended up hitting his lands and was able to push some damage through. I took a bunch of damage off of lands and thoughtseizes early so he got me to 5, and I had him at 5 via Burrenton forge-tender beat downs getting real (I brought it in preemptively for anger of the gods if you're wondering). I cast a souls and made it so if he attacked I'd go to two but he'd only have one mana up. He drew something that didn't help him and conceded. For those of you doing the math, there was an honor of the pure that made him dead. He also didn't NEED to concede because he could block the forgetender with tar pit and hope he draws electrolyze which draws him bolt. But he didn't do that so I ended up getting it in two.
2-0 2-1
Round 4: Jund!
YES!!!! I love playing against jund, this is only my second time playing against Jund in a sanctioned match (Dimiroverlord1300 plays it all the time though) but neither of these guys could do ANYTHING when I played them.
Game one: He kept a hand of terminate, bolt, bolt, goyf, lands. Ha. Hahaha. I'm playing one of the only decks outside of tron where this hand is awful. I snagged his goyf with an inquisition. We did trade resources for a while because he drew a couple discard spells which definitely slowed me down but I ended it with a hero of bladehold and a bunch of spirits.
Game 2: Man I got grinded OUT. He had 5+ discard spells and had a turn two goyf on the play. He also drew another goyf. I became dead.
Game 3: He had an olivia and goyf in opener. I took the goyf, and I thought he wouldn't just run the Olivia out there because it's pretty obvious I have celestial purge or something that doesn't kill Goyf. But he did run it out on four and I had an end step celestial purge. I had an honor of the pure on board and no tokens. We both just made each other discard for a while and I killed his stuff. I drew a hero of bladehold and it ended up sticking. Hero + Honor of the pure + Top decked intangible virtue was exactly lethal because he took some damage off random spirits that ate terminates (Probably should've saved those lol) and his lands/thoughtseizes
2-1 3-1
Overall went 3-1 which is pretty cool because I got 8th (25 man tournament) and was able to get $10 store credit so I have free entry next week which is pretty sweet. I'm gonna try and go 3-1 or better as much as possible so eventually I'll be able to most of the time go for free which would be sweet. If I stockpile enough I'll probably pick up some Serra ascendants to finish my soul sisters deck. Thanks for reading this if you did =)
Tournament report: Went 2-2 again. Playing tokens.
Round 1: Burn
Burn is probably one of my worst MUs next to GR tron but I was able to pull it through this game somehow.
Game 1: He had triple Eidolon hand, I killed the first one but just sort of ignored the second and third one because when they came down I landed a Sorin, solemn visitor with 3 spirits out. Burn has a tough time keeping up with that.
Game 2: I had timely reinforcements turn 3 and sorin turn four. There isn't a whole lot else to say about this game lol.
2-0 1-0
Round 2: BW casual deck
This guy was pretty chill and was playing a pretty cool casual deck where every card was both black and white so he could trigger this two mana 2/1 that turns into a 4/4 flying when you cast a BW spell. I actually lost to him game on, slightly due to mana flood but not a big deal. I'd add how the games went but I forgot almost every card's name so that'd be kind of difficult
2-1 2-0
Round 3: Hate bears
Not gonna write about this one because I got my ass handed to me on camera so you can see it here, starting around 1:53 or so, www.twitch.t.....yz/v/7101294
0-2 2-1
Round 4: Burn
Game one: This is almost unwinnable but it did come pretty close with him at 5 and me at 0 when the game ended while I presented lethal.
Game two: He had me down to two life but Sorin, solemn visitor helped me stabilize and I was able to over power him.
Game three: This one was super close, I had a disfigure for his swiftspear and we basically just traded resources for a while until we were both pretty low thanks to Eidolon. I had lethal on board but got wrecked by grim lavamancer.
1-2 2-2
Overall not terrible but I would've liked to have gone 3-1.
