Where is a good place to obtain bulk MODO cards? I need some more stuffs.

I have had good luck searching bulk in the trade section. Use a ticket or two and grab a bunch of loot. Just be aware, a lot of those bulk bots don't give you a ton of time, so either go in with a plan or make it a smash and grab. I can't even fathom how much time I've wasted filling a cart and then get timed out and booted not even making the trade.

This or eBay. Lots of eBay sellers will sell common/uncommon playsets for cheap. There is one for common/uncommon playset of Theros Block for $43.99. While that might not be the best deal of all time, it is 2 cents a card. Theros Block wasn't received all that well, there is a bit of demand for Born of the Gods and Journey into Nyx cards.

I think I'm just gonna play Pauper for a while, until I find enough extra disposable income to make my Modern and EDH decks. With what I was given card and ticket wise I was able to make a crappy fun deck, and 2 competitive decks that I actually own in real life.

That's where we all start. Just keep at it. I like to buy a couple tickets every time I get paid, then just kinda build slowly. A dollar or two every pay day slowly adds up.

I sold a huge majority of my paper collection for MTGO. Like thousand and thousands of awesome staple cards from my 11 years of playing for Tix. I also sold at the worst possible time, before the market exploded. Now I find myself buying back some of these cards for EDH and being like "I can't believe the difference in what that card cost me, what I sold it for, and what I am now buying it back". Needless to say, if you want to transition online, now is the time. Paper is worth more then ever, MTGO is the same low-cost.

Except for {Hurkyl's Recall}.  Jesus.  60 tickets a piece?  I'll find something else to use.

I don't think I will ever be able to get rid of my paper cards. I just simply needed another source for Magic, seeing as how I can't see myself playing too much competitive paper in the near future aside from EDH with my friends. I actually ended up spending $1 out of pocket for another Event Ticket, but I made my Mono-{G} Enchantment/Stompy deck and my {G}/{W} Tron. (Not Urza style, I just make dudes that are 7/7-ish with like 9 abilities after slapping stuff on, you know, Voltron!) They actually beat face though, I love these decks, I crush people with them all the time. It's just too easy when someone asks if you have other decks and you say "...I have a couple, but they're all commons..." 😆

TL;DR

Love me some paper magic. Spent an extra dollar, have some legit pauper decks.

That's actually a pretty good idea, it will be literally invisible into bank account and I'll actually be able to build my decks.

And also, for every {Hurkyl's Recall} or {Liliana of the Veil} there are $10 {Force of Will}, $3 Shocklands and $13 {Tundra}s. It all evens out somehow :)

I was in a situation where I wasn't playing enough paper, i wasn't at FNM, I was online for hours a day and it made sense. I don't regret trading my paper for digital, I regret when I did it. But there was no real way to know that Legacy and Modern playable cards would practically double and triple in value suddenly.

I don't miss Standard and I do enjoy collecting for my EDH decks. But MTGO in my opinion is superior to paper, except for social formats (which is why I maintain EDH decks). The rules enforcement, shuffling, the lack of memory issues, the lack of having to physically store 22,009 Cluestones, modifying decks and swapping cards, online card prices, ect ect. Theyre all things that if you like playing the game itself.

If you play Magic because of all of its other intangibles like social interaction, the possibility of human error, collecting or just getting out - online isn't good for that. MTGO is designed for the person who enjoys playing as many games as possible.

TL; DR - Play MTGO if you're not going to tournaments and just love to play.

Ok, so idk if this is something that should go into trade or not, but anyone have a  Digital {Shattergang Brothers} And  {Primal Vigor} they wanna work a trade for? I have issues paying as many tickets as the bots want.

Silent1236

I'm getting tired of stupid on MtGO.  When playtesting, I keep having people just join a game and immediately drop.  I mean, 4 out of 5 games that's happening.  And it seems to be down for maintenance a lot...
