I pulled a sword of feast and famine from a deck builders toolkit.  I was like 😱

Edit: back when it was going for $30......omg they are under $20 right now 😱

Have the toolkits been updated to all standard legal cards?
No

A big-ass pile of land, commons, and uncommons. Then two packs of the current core set. And one pack each of the two sets after it. So right now it should be two 2012 packs, an innistrad and a DKA

But does anyone know if they have been updated or not?  Not that I'm gonna complain about 20$. But I would like to know

I think the toolkits are all still 2011 core packs and 2 others of random variety.  I think you can get Worldwake packs in them sometimes.....could be wrong.  I just remember researching the toolkits online before buying them and I watched a YouTube video of a guy opening one and he got a jace the mindsculptor......needless to say, I went out and bought 2.......no jace for me tho lol.

Is getting a fat pack a money saver?(or as far as you can get with this game)

I really don't care about the box, the book, the land. So what I do, is for forty-five dollars (instead of getting a fat pack) is buy ten packs and a spin down counter!!

That works.  I find the boxes great for managing my collection though.  I think $45 is a little high for a Fatpack, depends on region, I suppose.

Yeah, that's why I don't get the fat pack, the only places I can buy them (besides online which includes shipping) have them for 45!! I also have plenty of other boxes around my house too!!
