Cards that say target creature or player dont work on planeswalkers or do they? And u can block woth planeswalkers but mot atk am i correct?

Cards that say player or opponent can't target planeswalkers, but noncombat damage dealt to a player can be redirected to a planeswalker they control, like a {lightning bolt}.

Planeswalkers cannot attack or block, but they can be attacked by creatures just like a player can and their controller can use their creatures to block.
