Paula Deen, accused of calling black people niggers.  She apologized on video, which was posted to YouTube, and apologized on tv.  She was soon stripped of her shows on food network, and everything that was ever filmed on food network that she starred in was taken off the air.

Haha this one is stupid classic example of she obviously did it and is in cover ass mode now. She admitted at first thinking it would help and it didn't the she tries to say it was only one time. It's so obvious. And for the person who file the law suit aka the "FORMER" employee he probably got fired for some stupid reason was pissed and was like hmm how can I get back at her oh I know Paula said a few racist remarks yeah she is screwed. In review it's another stupid issue that first new to be one cause bothe parties involved are stupid an the media can make a quick buck on the story and people eat it right up

The funny thing is she said these things like so many years ago, when everybody said that.  I find it cruel how the media eats people alive by twisting the truth on everything, making things sound bigger then they real are.

See acade on TV? NOPE! The media royally screws it up. I was at a trial (WATCHING) then saw it on TV and wondered if the reporter was in the same courtroom.

Well remember, she said it at a time when it was social accepted.  CORRECTION!  Socially expected.  I ask my great grandmother if she said nigger, and she said that she did a long time ago.

Certain words are apart of the past and when they resurface they hurt.

I called a black friend a nigger in 1st or 2nd grade. I had no idea what it even meant. In fact my other black friend told me to say that to the other guy. I was young (6/7) and ignorant, ended up getting in a fight with him, I saw the hurt in his face when I said that. I never knew what it even meant until later and I still feel remorse for hurting someone that way.

Words can hurt more than anything but they are going after some one for a mistake thaey said years ago. I was raised to like and not judge people for physical things such as race or a handy cap. But you also have to realize that it's a different time now slurs don't mean the same thing anymore at my schools every ones a N word it's meant in a more friendly way now but still calling someone the N word is something I don't agree with no matter how its meant.

The first one is pretty obvious, but animal cruelty and anti-intillectualism? How did she promote those? I'm not doubting you, I actually just don't know about it. I never watched her show (I like sautéing in butter as much as the next guy but wtf, seriously.) or really even payed any attention to her, so aside from the huge media buzz just recently, I haven't heard these other things.
