Being an Internet forum, we have no power in the real world and as such, we're limited in how we can handle thievery of physical possessions. I'm going to highlight a few points that have been expressed over and over again. Not aimed at anyone in particular, just posting this here in hopes that more people will see it.

1. Don't trade what you can't afford to lose.
2. If it's too good to be true, then 99% of the time, it is.
3. We have a middleman service designed to alleviate trading concerns. Use it. If you don't want to use a middleman for a high value trade, then both parties agreeing to adding a tracking number to their packages is highly encouraged. This only costs $0.90 and can be added to a regular envelope.
4. Like in everything else, logic and judgement are your best tools against getting ripped off. If you have bad feelings about a trade, then don't do it.
5. I personally compiled a list of known sketchy addresses. If youre unsure of someone, just PM me the person's address and I'll let you know if the address is on my list or not.

Additionally, you can always PM other members on the forum about their dealings with specific members. We're a community and as such, I don't think we mind helping each other out.

My previous offer still stands. Those of you who do not recieve the cards you were promised may PM me on August 2nd for advice on legal pursuit. I would like to request that whoever it was that called his household before pm me as well, so I may ask a few questions. I also recommend not calling again at this point in time, until a legal plan of action is in place so you know exactly what needs to be said, and perhaps more importantly, what not to say.
