Modern masters booster draft

Mine is friday, any tips on what to aim for? Like what meta seems to do the best?
Or should i be "that guy" and take the rares out and pass the crap?

Lol the entire store took the rare and passed. I think the only rares passed were {Tombstalker}, foil {Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker} (no one figured out why he passed it lol,) and my {Tooth and Nail}. I only passed the TaN because I wanted the {Kitchen Finks} and I already have an old {Tooth and Nail} in my EDH deck.

Honestly, I'd say go for the deck building. I went for the rares along with everyone else, but it wasn't fun. Opening a pack and seeing a {Vendilion Clique} was fun, but after about ten seconds, I realized I wasn't going to do anything with it and the games were super dull, for the most part.

Be that guy who "came to make a 5c deck" lol. Idk really i'm not looking to get into modern. For 30 bucks, what i pull from the packs should come out to more. Plus first prize is 20$

If you aren't too worried about grabbing value cards, then just have fun with it. Pass the {Doubling Season} and take the {Pestermite}.  There are more than likely going to be several people going open, skip to rare, pass.  Gives you a chance to pick up some good limited dudes. 

Speaking of {Pestermite}, if someone equips a {Sword of Fire and Ice} to one, just scoop. Jeez that was brutal 😨.

Yeah protection from the main source of removal cards does kinda put a damper on control-style decks huh?

Put it this way, pull swords every time, as they are colorless they will always help you.
After that I'd say run a blue black faerie rogue deck. Seriously. That thing was so strong at ours.
The other one was mono red giants. Apparently no one in his pod was drafting red so he just got all the giants and smashed face.

Also, my LGS does picks. I think it's better that way. Then you can actually draft, and not just search the pack for money.

Have you ever been captain in a pickup game of ball? 1st captain picks, then second? Well after a draft, rares are collected and first player gets first picks etc

I made g/w randomness deck yesterday including the goyf. I just realized how nasty goyf is in almost and deck. A possible 6/7 for 2?!?! Also I will add a molder one cloak
