I am on the last Mistborn book now (Hero of the Ages). I can't give a true opinion on the issue of HotA and MoL being too similar. That being said I started WoT when book 4 came out and I was a little disappointed at how some of what I thought were major issues were just ended with a "there you go" flair.

While he did an admirable job stepping up and filling Jordan's shoes, he left wayyy to much unsaid! Not only was the series long confrontation with fain completely downplayed. But wtf, was I the only one slightly confused by the ending? How are rand and ishamael tied together??

**********SPOILER**********
It has to do with the "crossing the streams" at then end of Crown if Swords. It seems their balefire strikes caused a physical link in there bodies.
Realllly? What led you to this conclusion? And what made them look similar? I was beginning to believe ishamael may have been a darker lews Therin reborn...

**********SPOILERS********** There are numerous allusions to the idea that they are "merged" after the end of CoS. The one that stands out is when Ishy starts having pain in his hand and blurry vision after Rand plays catch the fireball.

What do you mean, "tied together"?
***MAJOR WHEEL OF TIME SPOILERS***
Do you mean the body switch?
You read Wheel Of Time best books ever if it's the one I'm thinking of
Completely agree, the wheel of time series and the sword of truth series have been my favorite collection of novels my whole life!
Ps. Thanks for the info all! I may have to jump back and give crown of swords a re-read now
It is the best series ever I own all the books and have read them all 3 times and sadly their the only books I have read all the way I always stop mid book and never finish exempt these

If you liked the last three WoT books, you can try Sanderson's other stuff. The Mistborn trilogy is pretty good.
On topic: according to MaRo's blog, Felicia Day was at Wizards not long ago. She doesn't play, but I think MaRo talked her into giving it a try.
