Wouldn't that case a loop
That's the idea. Then you use enter the battlefield or leave the battlefield effects to exploit to an infinite damage, infinite life, infinite/infinite... But you can stop it by targeting another permanent with one of the combos pieces

Back to topic, you could also use Gravedigger in the combo to perpetually bring back creatures, Autamancer to bring back enchantments, Flayer of the Hatebound to deal 4 damage x infinite, anong others.
But adding another card between the exiles would break the combo.

If you want to keep in Standard, equip the
Midnight Guard with
Wolfhunter's Quiver for a five-card infinite damage combo. 😄
I love ridiculous combos!

And you could easily run a deck with all this cards as a W soldier deck, and then BAM!, you land the infinite combo

How about adding a phyrexian metamorph?
February 14, 2012, 11:15:52 AM
Replace the oblivion ring for phyrexian metamorph
Or
Let phyrexian metamorph copy leonin relic-warden and traget itself over and over again. this sadly doesnt work for al combos

Ahhhh! Good, good. It's like when you are juggling three balls and then you start doing two in one hand.

(Actually, more like throwing the same ball over and over, but that's not as much fun)
Oh, snap! I feel a deck coming on!
