Price Jumps and Drops

Yeah, Lotleth Troll dropped like crazy.  And shock lands are shock lands.  I see them going up a little post rotation

That's the most drastic drop i can think of. Mabe vraska, the unseen, which dropped 3/4 of its debut price.

Did lotleth troll debut at $18, or did i just dream that? I know all RtR has dropped considerably, but that's a massive drop.

I think part is due to how easy he is to get. You get an alt art of him with the holiday gift box.

Not likely. PWs almost universally plummet in value shortly after their release (Jace, the Mind Sculptor being an exception). And both of those are reprints: extra bad for value.

As a point of reference, Jace, Memory Adept was once over $40, Tamiyo, the Moon Sage $30. They haven't even left rotation yet, and look at the current prices.

It's a tough call. Generally id say "no". Jace, the Mind Sculptor is an exception because of how supremely powerful he is. The core set planeswalkers are pretty worthless. Older planeswalkers that are used in Legacy (nothing really comes to mind besides JtmS).

Jace is at $100 now, there has been talk of unbanning him in Modern. He'd better be reprinted in Modern Masters 2 because you'll be looking at a $200 card.

The pw that will hold the most value post rotation is probably Liliana of te Veil, as she is used in other formats and has a competitive mana cost

He may drop a couple dollars but that's it at the most

He is a staple in legacy decks, as in standard and modern.
